So this summer has been kinda jacked, but I’ve gone some pretty places nearby nyc, so want to share a bunch of pictures with you. I’ve been trying to take more of them, so here are some random adventure related photographs.
Fall is coming, which is lovely here, and for now I’m trying to get as much pretty summer in as I can. And I’ve been working as an artists assistant and doing a little gardening for the same artist, rollercoastering through some current event things, having a pretty standard post mfa existential crisis, and figuring out what’s next.
Here are some pictures dear.
I’m part of a September show at the City College of New York! Joining Forces showcases artwork by people in the area, bringing together a variety of great art by people who live and work in Harlem. I am so honored to be part of this wonderful show.
On September 12th at 6 there is going to be a cool outdoor opening, come meet some great artists!!! Come over!
The art is going to be up for a couple months outside of the NAC building on Amsterdam and 137th.
My recycled paper and plastic installation, River, was chosen as part of the postcard image too! Yay! There’s a limited edition poster of the show image I’ve included here that will be available at the opening.
Hope to see you there.
Here’s an article from the huffington post about the show: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4373547?1386016246
Join us on Thursday evening, August 22nd, for an Artist’s Talk at One Art Space. Artists and curators from the current exhibition, City’s Six, will speak about their work, their practices, and the art world today. Audiences will enjoy a roaming tour through the gallery by the artists and curators as we pause in front of individual works to elaborate, reflect, and have a conversation.
Refreshments will be served.
Here is a video of the opening of City’s Six, at One Art Space, made by the awesome Bernard Lee.
Hope all is well with you!
I’ve got to pack my studio up… and move out.
But anyhow, it’ll be good in one way or another.
